    DIY Glittery Thanksgiving Garland

Hello, friends. I have a really cool little DIY Thanksgiving project to share with you today. I’m seriously in love with the way it turned out. Like, I keep walking past it and stopping to admire it and then I say to whomever is standing within ear shot, “I really love that. Isn’t it cool? I’m so proud of myself.” By now my family’s eyes have begun to glaze over and they just reply with a patronizing, “Yeah. It’s great.”  That’s why I’m so glad I have you guys. You’ll understand. It’s a glittery Thanksgiving garland for the mantle. I really love it. Isn’t it cool? I’m so proud of…

Pinterest Inspiration: DIY Halloween Spider Web in a Frame

I have to admit, I was never much into Halloween until my husband and kids came along. Husband loves Halloween and has passed that on to his children. You may remember how the three of them think it’s hilarious to scare the bejeezus out of me every Halloween.  {That hasn’t ended yet, by the way…Rat Bastard has been found in the dryer, the bread basket, and my make up bag since then. I love it when I see an adorable DIY project that doesn’t involve:  A. A sewing machine (the last time I used one was Home Ec class in 9th grade),  B.…

Back to School and DIY Decorating

Today is my first day back to work after a fabulous summer off.  While I will miss our lazy summer days, I can’t say I’m not a little bit excited to transition back to the structure of the school year.   What I’m trying to say is this: all the lack of responsibility has turned my kids into lunatics and I’m pretty sure they are conspiring some evil plot against me just to amuse themselves. For reals.   While I’m easing back into the swing of things this week, the kiddos have one more week off before the bat shit hits the fan, so to speak.   In order to prepare…

    DIY Framed Fabric Wall Decor

It’s silly, but I’m so freaking proud of myself right now.  I’m DIY-er, who knew??   I was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest and instead of just repining this little idea to my “Home Decorating Ideas” board and then immediately mentally pinning it to my “Crap That’s Cool But I’ll Never In A Million Years Actually Do” board, I actually did it.   Procrastination: 0 Me: 1…Yay me!! Okay, so this has got to be the easiest DIY project in the history of DIY decorating projects.  Like, I’m talking a monkey could do this.  But hey, you’ve gotta start somewhere, right?? So here’s my inspiration from the Better Homes and Gardens…
